The car is a 1947 Ford Coupe that is unique and all Ford from end-to-end. There are obviously a significant amount of body modifications to include a 4-1/2" chop, quarter post removed with convertible doors and Foose (Sam, not Chip) hidden hinges. The cowl has been recessed and the hood pie cut, pancaked, channeled and nosed to provide a more striking profile. It has a 40 Ford rear decklid with hand formed rear valence and fabricated front facia with high intensity driving lights. All fenders, clam shell hood and running boards have been welded and filled to create a smooth "uni-body" appearance.
In true blue oval fashion the drivetrain features a 4.6L DOHC motor with Ford Racing Stainless Headers and cam, Accel high energy COP ignition and custom fabricated cold air induction. Power is sent via a 4R70W AODE transmission. It is all controlled by a Detail Zone Televorek engine management system. It has a narrowed Ford 9" with 3.50 locker rear hung with an Art Morrison 4 link and Heidt's Mustang II front suspension with T-bird power rack. The interior features Lincoln Mark VIII leather seats, hand fabricated center console and custom fabricated hide-away dash with AutoMeter Carbon Fiber guages and XM radio. The only non-Ford component on the car is the master cylinder which is mounted under the floor to maintain the completely smoothed firewall. Braking is handled by Wilwood front discs and Ford drums in the rear.
I've spent the last 3 years building it...and guess what...I don't own a trailer if that's what yer thinkin'
