kidd1014's 1970 Pontiac Firebird

I have owned this car since high school graduation (approximately 20 yrs), and have had a few different ideas for it in this time.  Originally was meant to be a drag car, but now more of a dual purpose machine.  Current combination has a 479 inch^3 Pontiac engine with a small solid roller and ported edelbrock Al heads (87 cc to allow pump gas).  The 3.42 rear with the overdrive trans makes for a nice highway ride (important since some races are 1 1/2 hours away).  Car has been lowered with Detroit Eaton springs, has KYB gas adjusts at all four corners, as well as a 1 1/4" front sway bar, and poly bushings in the suspension.  Custom 3" exhaust exits out stock appearing 3" chrome tips.  Brakes have also been upgraded with slotted front rotors, and dual piston calipers.  Best run to date on drag radials is 11.18 @ 122.3 Mph, I hope to break into the tens on slicks.  Car is always driven to the track.
