The Rambler has been a blast this past summer. Starting with a 22,000 mile stocker with a 199 cu in 6cyl, and a 3 on the tree. I converted it to an all around cruiser that has exceeded my expectations.
Its maiden voyage was long hauling the Power Tour this year and was knocking down 24 MPG as long as I kept my foot out of it.
Later this summer I grudge raced a buddy in his 67' Chevelle at Cordova dragway and showed him the rear bumper all night. I was running in the 15:40's to his 15:60's. His car has a 350 4bbl, Powerglide, and a 2.73 gear.
Changes made are. -Lowered 3 inches -Disc brakes -Front and rear sway bars -Quick ratio power steering from a 69' AMX -16" American racing Hoopsters -1997 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L -SS header -2000 stall converter -Flaming River tilt steering column
When I first bought this car my friends wondered why. Now that it is done they say why not.

I've seen this car in person twice and it rocks !! My grandpa gave me my '66 in '95 and time and money are never here at the sametime, but someday it will look as good!
