Purchased new from Helms Volvo in Queens, NY, my sister Nickie and brother in law John moved from the east coast to northern California in 1980. In 2005, with 217,000 miles on it, I obtained the car and brought it to Michigan. The photo of my green ES "Grandma" was taken at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI next to Irv Gordon's Guiness World Book of Records car, a red 1966 P1800S with over 2.6 million miles on it, rated as the highest mileage privately owned car.
