I'm building a 1948 Plymouth coupe and had a 1948 Dodge sedan for a parts car. The body was junk but the frame was good, steering was tight, motor ran great and the trans worked good so i had to do something with it. I found a 54 GMC cab in the local boneyard for $100, added some Ford headlights, 65 Chevy bedsides, and a grill from an unknown farm tractor. Just cleaned everything up and painted it and put it together; also using lots of parts leftover from other projects. I rebuilt the brakes and replaced the engine gaskets, along with adding a GM alternator. It runs great, is a blast to drive, and took about 8 months to build. Total cost was less than $2K.
