This is my 71 Javelin. I got it with hail dents, rusted quarters, torn up seats, and a blown rear main seal. I have repainted it Corvette yellow, added a trans am shaker scoop, grand pre mirrors, and an ss rear spoiler. I welded in all the body molding holes and marker lights. I just put 16 in cragar rims on it. I just dropped the original 304 back in after a complete rebuild. This car was built in several garages at friend's and my house. The body work, and engine rebuild was a group effort of buddies. It may not be perfect, but it is mine, and it was built to drive on the street!

Well Guys, I went to my first car show this weekend. It was the Sierra Vista cars in the park show. I won 2nd place in the modified 70's cars category. I was the only AMC out of 350 cars!! It was an absolute blast representing AMC and being surrounded by everything else. People really liked the car and I got a lot of positive feedback. It felt great after putting the car back together.

Kudoes for saving a Javelin from the crusher. "It may not be perfect, but it is mine". Good for you. I am restoring a 74 Javelin with the same criteria. Good luck. I found many AMC parts at auto stores because AMC used so many different suppliers. I was amazed!
