This was my fathers Olds, a real Y-74 pace car. Yes I dared to modify it because it was our family daily driver for 150,000 miles. Complete ISKY valve train, MSD pro-billet & 6A, Edelbrock performer 455 & IAS shocks, Hedman Hedders, Auburn 12" posi w/3.73, Flex-a-lite dual fans, 1986 442 15" rims w/BFG drag radials. My brother and I did ALL the work, including paint, interior, etc. My dad gave me the car in '82 with a dropped valve, I rebuilt the motor on my patio in Tarzana!- complete with ARP head & main studs, balance job, etc. I drove it around LA's San Fernando valley for a while and then stored it away in grandmas garage for many years. Finally in about 2003 after buying a house with garage and having enough $- the resto began.
