1972 Plymouth Scamp Originally a slant auto grandmas car, purchased in July of 2005 Body & Interior b5 blue, in and out. Needs carpet (carpet is out) and door seals, small bit of surface rust starting on front floors.(they were perfect when the carpet came out two years ago). The front bench worn on drivers side. body is very straight, couple of shopping car dimples in doors, and a dent in rear valence. was a vinyl top car, so has some rust starting in C pillars but its not rusted through. there is absolutely no rust anywhere else. The factory didn't put very much paint on the roof, and most the paint is baked through (original paint) and is getting some surface rust on the very back of the trunk lid. (think of car parked in carport its entire life with the sun just hitting the back of the trunk) Most of the paint still waxes up good, but there's probably not enough left to buff it out.
Drivetrain 1976 engine and trans from dart a38, trans is freshly rebuilt with less than 300 miles using Mancini's kit http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/mapopashreki.html 318 engine has 268/272 purple cam, small tube headers, dual 2.5" exhaust with glasspacks, side exit in front of the rear wheels. Has Edelbrock Streetmaster intake and rebuilt Holley 4160 600cfm. 8.25 rear with 3.55 open. brand new driveshaft from Six States Distributors.
Suspension K member and rear axle out of '76 a38 dart, 1.09 torsion bars up front, stock police spec leaves out back. Front and rear sways from a38 dart KYB gas-a-justs all around everything rebuilt with poly bushings with the exception of the lca's and the swaybars (new links though) has brand new calipers and Firm Feel brake pads, adjustable prop valve, new master cylinder also. has factory firm feel police spec steering box with cooler. Rolls on 15x7 cop car wheels with cop dog dish caps, and new 225/50/15 falken tires all around.
