There is no choice for a Packard!
I did a frame on restoration or repaired almost everything on the car. It started as a parts car with 4 bent push rods, it had been sitting for over 20 years. It had rusty rocker panels, floorboards and fender holes. While the engine and transmission were out I replaced all the brakes and hardware, cleaned the gas tank, repaired the speedometer, installed a repaired AM tube radio complete with power antennae. This car has 4 wheel torsion bar suspension, with no hydaulics or air bags this car has a load leveler system that I love to show off at car cruises, this is stock from the factory. After rebuilding the engine, I had a Chrysler 727 transmission installed, then had the body painted and a new interior installed. It took me 2 years to do the mechanical work and 2 more years for the body and interior. We have 6 kids and 10 years ago 2 of the kids had a license and we only had 2 cars, my wife told me we needed a 3rd car. Do you like my 3rd car? The kids drove the car I used to drive and I drive the Packard. My wife hated the before pictures of this car but now will drive the Packard without me to a car club function. I let my kids drive this car to prom! Can and will drive this car anywhere.
