Ordered this car in the first part of April 1973 and received the car just before the end of April. That was just a few days before my 21st birthday. Still haven't topped that for a present.
As it sits now it has a 385 cube small block with a powerglide transmission and 5800 rpm stall converter. The front end is lift off fiberglass. Bumpers and trunk lid are also fiberglass. Windows are lexan and interior is aluminum including firewall all the way back to thee taillight panel. Car weighs in without me at 2400 lbs. The roll cage is 4130 chromemolly that a friend of mine and I bent and fitted in my garage. No kits were used from the steering column on through. The engine has a 350 4-bolt block that is Hardblocked and bored .040 over. It is fitted with a Scat 3.75 stroke superlight 4340 crank and I-beam rods swinging a set of SRP 12.9:1 pistons. the cam is a Lunati solid roller and the heads are AFR 220 race ready topped of with a Professional Products Hurricane intake manifold that was CNC port matched by AFR. Carb is a 750 Holley worked over with an 850 base plate.
The engine is moved back 9" and is mounted on motor plates. Also has rack and pinion steering and Global West upper a-arms to help it go straight down the strip.
In the rear is a Alston pro gas kit car 4-link suspension with Koni coilovers holdin it up.
