Great to see some coverage on the early Tempest/Lemans in last month's junk yard crawl. Here is one that runs.
I bought it a couple of years ago with a SB Chevy in.
It now has a Pontiac 400 with a 4 bolt main. It is all Pontiac with a Compcams roller cam and valvetrain. The rearend is a 9 inch hung on ladder bars. I have had three runs on it so far. I plan on getting into the 11.90 range with some tuning and practice.

Beautiful ride! Just swappin out the Chevy 396 outta my 66 GTO...Gotta 421 SD Tri to get er back to all Pontiac. Nobody seems to rate here?? Here's one from me. Check out my Sunbird if ya get a chance.
