I tell em its a 305 since the motor is black and has a steel 8" balancer. The cam is a pro stock elgin with roller rockers, stud girdles, light weight eagle crank, light weight rods, KB flat tops. I drive it every day even in winter. I bought all the parts new on ebay and have less than a grand in parts. The heads are new also and came complete for $275 delivered. They are new GM 305 castings that I got from a place in Florida. You choose the heads and they put the valves and springs you want in them. Once they got here I had my machine shop mill them to get 55cc champers. He didn't have to take much off them because they came with 58cc chambers. The intake didn't need milled. With his calculations he says it has 11.7:1. I have 2 carbs for it both are 750 Edelbrocks one for E-85 and one for gas. Everyone that hears it for the first wants to see the motor. Now you know how I can get away with telling them its a 305. Sneaky huh? It still has the stock 10 bolt with 2.73 gears and the stock thm350C. I can bury the speedo in second. Next its getting 4.11s and a mini spool. 497 on the dyno. It took 3 years to collect all the parts to make this much power and only spend $1000. If you shop well you can do it too. Notice how daily driven it looks. The trailer harness hanging from the back isn't connected adds to the sleeper factor. As do the cats the exhaust only has the Summit 2.5 inch X-pipe and a pair of mufflers that look like Flows that only cost 27 bucks. Since its so short I only used 2 hangers makes for easy open headers right before I kill a rice burner.
