I have not had any problem with the u-joints. Have more problems getting the big bias-ply Pro-Trac tires properly balanced. I always get asked how it handles & it is no worse than the averge pick-up.

I'm glad Gassers are making a comback. The picture below yours, of the yellow Conquest that my neighbor is building, unfortunately dosn't include a shot of his Dodge Dart that he's also morphing into the Gasser look. How are your U'joints holding up to the pinion angle?
