1968 Chevrolet Impala - ed68

This car is a red-on-red convertible with a white top. I purchased it after seeing it advertised on the internet. Years ago I had a '68 Impala Custom Coupe that my dad gave me to use when I went away to college. That car is now long gone but I always loved it and considered it a connection to my dad. When he passed away in 2007, I began looking for a replacement '68 Impala. I knew I had to own this car when I first laid eyes on it.
It had a recent re-paint and the roof had been replaced at some point. It needed a fuel line and carburetor and various gaskets, bulbs, and lenses. I did a mild restoration on the interior, too. I try and keep the car as original as possible, even opting to replace the stock AM radio with a vintage AM-FM radio rather than upgrading to a modern unit.
It runs and rides pretty well and we enjoy taking it out on cruises with friends and family. It serves us very well and turns a lot of heads.
