Five years ago I purchased a 67 Chevelle from a older lady that was still driving this car on a daily basis to and from a part time job. She and her husband owned the car for the past 35 years. It was a 6cyl automatic. I purchased the with the intention of doing a little bit of work here and there as a source of mental Therapy to take my mind off work and the daily grind. Well that did not work out so well. This car soon became the focus of my attention for the next 4 years. I stripped the car down to the frame and the body went one direction for a while and the frame in another. To make a long story short this project went over the top considering my original intentions. She is now a BBC 505 with a Muncie Rock Crushing 4spd putting out 640HP. Not to mention I think she is the sexiest bad ass looking 67 Chevelle in all of NJ. Her body is as straight and perfect as could be thanks to Marks Hot Rod Shop in Yardville NJ.
Driving this car is a real kick in the pants. I can't help but smile every time I get in it. She is scary fast and when I flip the swith for the electronic header cut outs she is amazing load and ferocious. I don't think I have drivin this car without someone pulling up along side me with a smile and thumbs up. this past summer I was able to start driving it while finishing up some minor interior parts. for now she will remain badge less and free of any emblems until I decide the direction I want to take. She will also continue to sport the Rally rims. I would like to have a fancy pair of shoes in the garage to dress her up once in a while for a weekend Cruise. I guess I would call it my obsession and a labor of love.
